Connor's 2nd Birthday Party

Connor turned 2 years old on May 29th. I can't believe we officially have a toddler!

Elmo cupcake for the birthday boy!

We celebrated his birthday on the 31st with a small party with the family. It was, of course, Elmo themed. Being on maternity leave, and being up at strange hours with an infant, I had a chance to browse Pinterest for creative party decorations and food that fit the Elmo theme. Let me tell you, these people that go all out for their kids' birthday parties have waaaay too much time on their hands. While it was fun to try to do a little DIY, Connor's really not old enough to appreciate my attempts and even the few homemade things I did were very time consuming (not to mention they were nowhere close to what was on Pinterest). Poor Grant, he's probably going to get a trip to Party City the morning of his 1st Birthday Party!

I made these from dollar store punching balloons. There was a yellow one for Big Bird, and it was actually adorable, but it popped as I was trying to hang it, oops!

The red things are Elmo's footprints that I had intended to put outside on the walkway leading up to our door. I forgot to do it though. Oops again, guess it is a good thing that Connor's still to young to appreciate my efforts or lack thereof!

At least the Elmo Oreos were a hit!

Connor received lots of fun presents. He is certainly very well loved!
